"His blood smells like cologne."
"His mother has a tattoo that says SON."
"He lives vicariously through himself."
"He can speak French in Russian."
"His legend precedes him like lightening precedes thunder."
"His personality is so magnetic, he is unable to carry credit cards."
"People hang on his every word, even the prepositions."
"His charm is so contagious vaccines have been created for
it."
The ads show him bench pressing nurses and freeing a grizzly from a trap while wearing a suit. These Dos Equis beer ads left me chuckling at best until my daughter in law pointed out that my guy, Erich has it all over the beer guy! He's traveled all over the world, is multilingual, handsome, intelligent... the clincher was when he came from Canada for Christmas with a case of Molson XXX...one more X than The Most Interesting Man in the World's Dos Equis (XX)! So I decided to come up with some "claims" of my own for Erich, all true to the detail and illustrated with my own photo collages :
"He has sailed across Lake Superior in a race. More than once."
"He beat the family Scrabble champions by a mile in English with a French word. Neither are his first language."
All wildlife photos by Erich S. |
"He has traveled Lake Superior by canoe, kayak, sailboat, swimming, even an ice floe."
floating, swimming, paddling Lake Superior |
"His soft side? He bakes artisan bread, picks up litter in the wilderness, wears a rainbow ski hat, writes romantic messages in the snow, listens to opera... all with a sexy smile."
His "soft side" |
"He's so romantic rocks form in the shape of a heart for him."
"He's been on mountaintops from British Columbia to N.Ontario to the Swiss and Austrian Alps. The clouds move over for him so he can enjoy the view."See the clouds moving out of the way for him? (Austrian Alps) |

Oh Mary you are so cute! Love it!
Awesome post, and so true!
Wow, quite a guy. What's his first language?
Jan, it's an Austrian dialect of German. When I told him I wrote this he said, "Oh no." He's very humble about his accomplishments : )
He's the greatest,
