Dad and Mom would have been married 61 years if they were still here today.
As it was they made it to 35 years and 14 grandchildren.
The story goes there was a snowstorm and Dad was late for his wedding. Isn't that the way it is, years later no one remembers the color of the dresses, the flavor of the cake or the kind of flowers in the bride's boquet. It's the groom being late because of a snowstorm that makes a good story. Moral of the story: it's not the wedding but the marriage that matters in the greater scheme of life. And, of course, the humorous stories about what didn't go as planned!

That's right, I forgot it was today. I remember mom always said the Priest was going to start without him if he didn't show up soon :)
