A Glimpse into the Past


Every time I see this photograph of my grandmother, Cecilia Honson Heffron, I find myself wishing I could have known her at this time of her life. She was a smart, beautiful, dignified woman who was far more complicated than I could have known as a child. I'm fortunate to have this photo and the bracelet she wears in it as keepsakes.

I've often thought about that with my own mother.........knowing her as a young woman I mean. Would she be someone I would like to be friends with? Same here. And yes I would have been lucky to be friends with either!
