Are you an intellectual snob? I know I'm not :)

I can do that, but I am a little young and never watched said show.

I'm Lone Ranger all the way. The overture has also been used in many cartoons and tv ads. Rossini? Who's he?

Rossini...hmmm...don't they make wine?

Dave said...

Yes, Martini & Rossini Aste Spumante!

Hopefully, by now you've figured out that he was the composer of the Opera, "William Tell".

Are you serious? You must think I'm daft. I know who it is, silly.

Duh, who?

I was just trying to save you from being considered an intellectual snob, Dave.

Without being snobish, I like The Thieving Magpie. That means I know not just one, but two Rossini Overtures.

Dave said...

Magpies & William's, all very pedestrian. I prefer his little known earlier works, such as "La cambiale di matrimonio".

Snobs the lot of you!! Go home and watch some TV like other good Americans. I'm sure you have at least a 50" screen! And don't think I don't know you guys looked up Rossini on Wiki!

I figured you knew Dennis and I looked it up first thing, as we usually do. I even had to look up The Lone Ranger to see what the heck it was.

P.S. My TV is only 42". I don't need to compensate.
